Integrating my background in the health and wellness sector, business management, and community planning I have established a simple (but not easy) approach in my consulting practice as a Community Planner to comprehensively and objectively frame community needs.
Using systems-thinking and strategic planning processes we then develop community plans founded on authenticity, humanity, inclusivity, and resiliency.
Four key areas of focus integrated in my community planning practice are:
Collaboratively we work through an awareness process to develop a comprehensive evaluation of personal capacities which when determined help to identify gaps and areas where strategic tools and practices could be of value to form a resilient foundation.
Many topics of conversations in community planning require facing truths and elements of discomfort to move towards a greater goal. Focused on using simple yet effective communication strategies, we can move in a direction of establishing greater cohesion amongst stakeholders and the community as a whole.
Following a Growth Mindset, and awareness of the Grieving process, we can work through any challenge and build greater resiliency individually and collectively.
Together we will strategize on how to engage in building authentic connection and relationships within a community founded on empathy, and then establish both feasible and sustainable action steps that can be integrated into any community plan.
